how exciting!

I'm getting ready to go to the Pixies concert tonight in Berkeley. We bought the tickets April 18th, so there's been a lot of waiting and anticipating. But the day is finally here! They are, like, my gods. Well, almost. I wonder if I should flash them. I wonder if I can fuck the guitar player...

I love packages!

Today wasn't all that bad. It started when I woke up at his house (despite my better thinking) and then had sex (again, despite my better thinking - but I can't say I didn't enjoy it). I got home at around 9:40am, got ready for work, and was there at about 11:05 (5 minutes late, not too bad). I ate Indian food for lunch (chicken tikka masala...mmm) and worked until 7. When I got home, there was a package from Amazon waiting for me. I ordered that new book about the Bush family by Kitty Kelley, The Family, the Rules of Attraction DVD (I already have it, but I neglected to put the DVD back into its case for so long that now it doesn't play anymore without skipping five hundred times - I love the movie, so I figured I'd buy it again), and the new Mr. Show season 4 DVD that just came out today. No, I'm not into Star Wars. Fuck that shit. But this Mr. Show DVD is awesome, I haven't seen a lot of these episodes actually - and I've been laughing out loud like the whole time.

The Beastie Boys show was completely awesome. They played so many good songs, and I got pretty fucked up...and not from the one beer I bought for $12 (fuck that, man). A few songs from their latest CD (radio singles mostly), a few oldies (like Paul Revere and Brass Monkey - very cool), some of the more popular songs from their last CD, like Intergalactic and Body Movin', some stuff to show off Mix-Master Mike's talents, and even some instrumental stuff. I saw the Beastie Boys playing instruments! Very hot. I fucking love those guys.

Pixies show this Friday. What will I have to look forward to once it finally passes?

BEASTIE BOYS

OMG, I'm totally going to see the Beastie Boys tonight in the city. San Francisco, that is. I am SO fucking excited. I have been in love with them for, like, ever. I'm busy getting high and getting ready right now! And a week from tonight...the Pixies. Holy fucking shit. This week has the potential to be the best one ever - I hope it turns out that way.

holy fucking shit

So, Rick James died of a "heart attack," but had all these drugs in his system...

"Toxicology revealed the presence of the following drugs: Alprazolam (Xanax), Diazepam (Valium), Bupropion (Wellbutrin), Citalopram (Celexa), Hydrocodone (Vicodin), Digoxin, Chlorpheniramine, methamphetamine, and cocaine," the statement said.

Wait, what's Chlorpheniramine? According to
Encarta, nothing cool. What about Digoxin? A heart stimulant? That sounds exactly like what someone on coke and meth needs in their system, eh? Although, I'm not one to criticize, I suppose. And come on, why would you take valium and xanax together? Maybe to balance out the meth and coke...but doesn't that seem like an overload? Why take so many drugs just to have them balance/cancel each other out? Why not just enjoy each one separately? Again, I'm one to talk. Suddenly, I feel almost a little bit bad for critiquing the Super Freak's ultimate exit.

Don't think I've done all those drugs just because I'm talking about them. But don't think I haven't, either...

fuck dude

Once gifted linguist Andreas Hinz's limbs and head had been 'sawn off', they were wrapped in bin liners and put out for the dustman. (Man, a linguist. Fucking shit dude.)

resevoir dogs

I'm watching Resevoir Dogs right now and being very productive! I finally bought my own copy - when I used to live with my ex, I could just watch his, but then we moved apart, and, well, you know. I washed some dishes just now, and I'm about to wash some more. I got my hair done earlier, went to the market, and reorganized my cupboard. Best of all, I have remained pretty stoned throughout the day! I have nothing too exciting to report on now, but maybe in a little while...

a new day

So...being that I totally fell asleep yesterday at like 6pm, it is now only barely 10am and I'm wide awake and already showered. And, I have today off! Awesome. I'm getting my hair done today - my color and highlights touched up, and then maybe a little bit of a trim. I don't want it any shorter, just a trim - I want to get my hair a little longer. I just packed my first bowl of the day, and I'm about to hit it...

[deep inhale]

Mmmmm. Nice. Very nice. My plans for today include: cleaning my room (surprise! - although, in reality, how often do I actually do this and get anything done? Not too often.), going to the market (I am DYING for a Dr. Pepper right now. I can't believe I let myself finish off my supply before getting more. Fuck fuck fuck.), getting some coffee, and perhaps some other not too exciting things. I would like to go shopping, but I probably won't. Clothes shopping, that is. I would also like to do some laundry, but, again, I probably won't.

In other news, I FUCKING GOT A NEW CAR. Extremely awesome. No more bus, no more crackheads, no more walking in nasty weather, no more freaky taxi rides. Yay!! I am so totally excited. It's a Mitsubishi Lancer, and my parents surprised me with it when I went to visit them in LaLa Land last weekend. Thanks guys! Seriously, it was definitely a shocker. While I admit I had no idea what that car was before I actually drove it, I am now IN LOVE with it. Not just in love with it because it's a car, and it's mine - but the car itself is great. It handles well, drives smoothly, I feel safe in it, and I can go really fast. Everything I need. :D

Welcome Back Busty

So, after taking an apparent vacation from blogging, I am (finally) back. I've been busy, lazy, and living...but don't think nothing interesting has happened!

I'd like to welcome myself back with a link to this fucking hilarious article.

a whole week has passed...

...and where have I been? I feel as though I'm in the exact same place a week ago, and time must have just whirled right by me. The way I visualize this in my head is this: imagine being on a train, or the BART, or whatever, and then everything on both sides of you is whooshing by outside of your little compartment, since you're moving much faster than the stationery surroundings. Imagine feeling the breeze as you move by everything, as everything moves by you, as though there was nothing separating inside from outside. Now take that feeling and reverse it - you aren't moving past everything, but instead you are the stationery object in the whole picture. The whooshing breeze is still there, accompanying the blur of time passing by all around you.

Is 'inertness' a word? I'm sure it is, I just thought it.

As I reread what I just wrote, it may seem like I'm in a depressed mood or something. I'm actually not in a bad mood - depressed maybe, but I am not letting it affect my mood right now. I'm doing better today than I have a lot of recent days. And, I'm going to LA tomorrow. Score!
